EVENTS 2020
Like everyone else, we too have been temporarily blocked by Covid-19. The scheduled events have suffered a setback. Since it is not possible to predict the resumption, we are organizing ourselves to stay in touch with those who follow us on our social media and we will do our best to still offer you interesting things even without being physically present. At least for the moment.
Time returns, and with it many things that seemed lost.
Let's get them back.

This year too we are offering 4 tailoring courses and a demonstration of dyeing with herbs.
This year's courses are: Cutting, Hand Sewing, Mending, Embroidery.
All the information about the courses and the link for booking will be available soon.
During the natural dyeing demonstration this year we will show the steps for dyeing fabrics and the finished work.
The demonstration is free while the courses are paid.
The course registration fees are used to financially support the projects we are following and the receipt is tax deductible as a charitable donation.

Ancient Crafts Workshop
MARSH GRASS WEAVING WORKSHOP

Weaving wild marsh grasses to make beautiful bags is an ancient art that Mico learned from his family who had been practicing it for a long time, thus continuing a tradition. During this workshop he will teach the basic techniques with which two bags will be made that can be used daily.

CHAIR STRAWING WORKSHOP

Strawing chairs is one of the old jobs that has very current feedback and offers satisfaction both for personal use and on behalf of third parties in the catering industry and beyond.
During this course, you will be given a chair that will be straw-woven and you will be taught the techniques needed to make the various types of seats.

DEMONSTRATION OF OLD CRAFTS UNDER THE PORTICO

Under the Portico of Cascina Maggia, together with local producers, artisans will gather to preview the techniques that will be taught to participants during the next workshops.
This demonstration is open to all and suitable for children.

CERAMICS WORKSHOP

There are many techniques with which you can create ceramic objects. All beautiful from the most ancient and rich in traditions to the most contemporary.
During the workshop you will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of these techniques and the subsequent art of decoration. A demonstration of the use of the lathe will be done during the course.

MACRAMÉ WORKSHOP

The complex art of knots will be taught in this workshop by creating decorative wall samples and vase holders. Many are the objects that can be created with this technique, from jewelry to clothing accessories to furnishing accessories.
